Dhaulagiri round trek offers breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri's(8167m) massive south face as well as the chance of explore remote valley hidden away behind its bulk.
You head out through exquisite forests of pine, rhododendron an fir to emerge on the Kaphe Glacier, from where you climb up and over French Pass(5240m). You descend into the wild and untravelled valleys beyond where Bharal(blue sheep) can some times still be seen in Summer. The route then takes you over Thapa La Pass (5250m), with exceptional views of the great Kali Gandaki Gorge, before the steep down into the valley and return flight to Pokhara.
Autumn and Spring season is recommended for Dhaulagiri round trekking.
