Dear Narayan and Raju, It has been several weeks since our return to USA from our fantastic but very difficult trip to Nepal and Tibet. I cannot stop thinking about the wonderful and powerful experiences we lived in such short period of time. I know I will never forget them. It was an opportunity of a lifetime; in fact, a life transforming experience that I trust will make me a better person. I was shocked and inspired, confused and enlightened, intrigued and afraid at the same time. Now after what I lived there, I constantly ponder about my life and they way I have led it so far. It was like being in a never-ending National Geographic program, except that we were there, in real life, witnessing and living each beautiful, miraculous, astonishing, strange and or scary moment, one stronger than the last. What an adventure!! I cannot stress enough how wonderful all the guides are and how patient they were with this group of strong women. We thoroughly enjoyed their knowledge of architecture, geography, history, religion, traditions and everyday life in their countries; as well as their eternal and courteous assistance climbing mountains and stairs, getting us into the van, letting us rest, shopping, the list would go on and on. It is unfortunate that I got sick in Pokhara and I felt so bad that I was unable to visit Potala Palace and some of the other monasteries in Tibet. Perhaps it means that I will go back and I want to go back but the next to five star hotels!! Do not forget the ideas we gave you during the delightful dinners at Nepali Chulo regarding Nepali cooking classes and advertising to lose weight while walking and learning in the Himalayas. We really enjoyed your company and those delicious dinners so beautifully served. Needless to mention, the music and dancing were so entertaining and educational. The tiny cups you gave me survived the trip. They are delightful and I used every day for sake or shochu, and of course I toast to your health and the memories come back again. It would also be very interesting if you could incorporate other cultural activities in your tours like visiting art museums and contemporary artists' studios, going to the theater. Having a little more time in Kathmandu and Lhasa to walk through their streets would be quite interesting too. All in all this was a fantastic experience, the most important of my life. Nepal and Tibet Tour

Day by day Itinerary
Day 01 - Arrival in Kathmandu Airport.

Our representative will receive you and transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon is free.

Day 02 - Full day Sightseeing in Kathmandu city.

Morning: Visit Pasupatinath and Boudha Nath. After Lunch: Sightseeing in Syambhu Nath (Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Transfer to the Hotel.

Day 03 - Sightseeing program in Patan,Bhaktapur city and Nagarkot.

After breakfast we take you to Patan Durbar Square. Visit the Patan City and Patan Durbar Square and drive to Bhaktapur. After lunch in Bhaktapur, Sightseeing in all major places and drive to Nagarkot (a famous hilltop for Mountain views with sunrise and sunset view). Overngiht in Nagarkot.

Day 04 - Hiking and Sightseeing program (Changunarayan temple and Kathmandu).

After breakfast: Hike down takes about 3 hours to Changu Narayan Temple, the oldest Shiva temple in the Valley and drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 05 - Drive to Rafting and Chitwan National park.

Early morning after breakfast drive to the rafting starting point in Trisuli River. 3 hours exciting rafting trip and drive to Chitwan National Park. Refreshment upon arrival and lunch will be provided. After brief about the whole program we take you Tharu village. Evening: back to the resort. Dinner will be served with slide-show.

Day 06 - Full day program in Chitwan National park.

Full day provided Jungle activities as per the program (Canoe, Elephant safari, Visit Elephant Breeding Farm and Jungle walk). Evening: back to the resort. Dinner and Tharu Dancing program at night.

Day 07 - Drive to Pokhara.

After tea or coffee you will go for a Bird Watching Tour and after Breakfast Drive to Pokhara takes about 5/6 hours. Transfer to the Hotel.

Day 08 - Full day Sightseeing in Pokhara city.

Early morning: Drive to Sarangkot. Walk for an hour to reach the Sarangkot Tower. Excellent view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail and many more mountains are seen from here. Drive back to the hotel. After breakfast: Visit the following places for sightseeing: (a.) Devi's Falls (b.) Gupteswar Cave (c.) Tibetan Refugee Settlement (d.) Seti Gorge (e.) Boating at Fewa Lake. Transfer back to the Hotel.

Day 09 - Fly back to Kathmandu.transfer to the hotel.

After breakfast: transfer to the airport to fly Kathmandu (30 minutes flying) and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon brief about the Tibet tour.

Day 10 - Fly to Lhasa.

Early morning take an hour scenic flight to Gonggor Airport, our Tibetan guide will receive you and transfer to the Lhasa city on private coach takes about 1/2 hours driving (90km).After arrive in Lhasa, rest and acclimatize. O/N at Hotel.

Day 11/12 - Lhasa sightseeing.

Full day guided sightseeing program in Lhasa city on private coach. Places to visit are: Potala Palace, Jorkhang Temple, Bharkhor market, Norbulinka, Sera and Drepung Monasteries and many more old and famous places. O/N at Hotel.

Day 13 - Drive to Gyantse (3950m) 265km.

The day begins with our overland journey towards Everest Base Camp. We cross Kamba La (4795m) and Karo La (5045) via beautiful Yamdrok-tso lake.After few hours' drive pass the beautiful valley and colorful Tibetan village arrives in Gyantse. O/N at Hotel.

Day 14 - Drive to Shigatse(3900m) 90km.

Early morning we visit some old places in Gyantse then start our journey to Shigatse takes about 2/3 hours only. Shigastse is second largest city of Tibet where you get a good opportunity for both relaxation and exploration. Here we visit Tashilhunpo Monastery which is one of the largest functioning monasteries in Tibet. O/N at Hotel.

Day 15 - Drive to Xegar (New Tingri) 4050m, 244km.

After breakfast we start our journey to Xegar which is about 6/7 hours driving. This day we cross the highest pass Gyatmso La (5220m). While travelling the plains we will see many nomadic herders, quite countryside and old monasteries. This place also known as New Tingri. O/N at at Hotel.

Day 16 - Drive to Rongbuk (5100m) 65km.

This day we turn off the Friendship Highway and head south over the Pang La(5150m) towards the main Himalayan range. After the pass we enter in to the Rongbuk valley. We can see magnificent view of Mt Everest from here. O/N at Guest House.

Day 17 - Hike to Everest Base Camp (5180m) and drive back to Lhatse (4390m) 65km.

This is the main highlight journey today as you have the opportunity to explore Everest Base Camp. The views of Mt Everest are so close making the mountain seem even more spectacular than before. You will see full length panoramic view of North Face of Mt Everest(8848m). After that our journey back to Lhatse. O/N at Guest House.

Day 18 - Drive to Shigatse.

Drive back to Shigatse takes about 6/7 hours driving. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 19 - Drive back to Lhasa.

We drive back to Lhasa takes about 6/7 hours. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 20 - Fly back to Kathmandu.

Transfer to the Gonggor Airport and fly back to Kathmandu. Transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon free time for shopping. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 21 - Final Departure.
