Client Testimonials

We are so gald to have found our friends at Mactrek. These two American girls had an incredible time here in Nepal. Our trek round the Annapurna circuit was truly spectacular because of our trusty guide Dambar. Becase we had such a wonderful guide we were able to mingle with the locals and I mean really mingle – Dancing and singing nepali music , drinking raksi and we were also invited into several kitchen for warmth by the fine and traditional nepali food. We have had a brilliant time in Kathmandu with our friends at Mactrek. Thank you all friends in Mactrek for everything. We will be back.

Annapurna Circuit Trekking

Annapurna Circuit trek is one of the most popular treks in the world. Annapurna round offers more variety than other trek of same height and length and it presents an excellent cross-section of Nepal and spectacular mountain scenery. There are superb views of the Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri, and an amazing variety of landscapes ranging from sub-tropical through alpine to an arid semi-desert akin to Tibet.

Annapurna circuit is a lodge-based trek, so we spend time in villages inhabited by many of Nepal's different tribes and ethnic people.Every day brings opportunities to gain an insight into the local culture and interact with the local communities. Heading north to the main Himalayan range the trail follows Marshyangdi valley, crosses snow covered Throng La Pass (5416m.), crossing Muktinath, an important site of pilgrimage for Hindus and Buddhists, it returns to Pokhara via Kali Gandaki river; the deepest gorge in the World or fly about 20 minutes to Pokhara will be a great memorable.Annapurna round trail is categorized as one of the best trekking trails and a "classical trek" in the world.
