Upper Dolpo Trekking from Jumla to Jomsom

Upper Dolpo is located in the far west of the country. The home of herbal land, unspoiled trans-Himalayan culture, Buddhist monuments, and unique human civilization at high altitude is worth a visit. The Dolpo region is the natural embodiment of high passes, rare flora and fauna, and sheeping vistas, which is enriched by the traditional Tibetan cultural heritage.Dolpo region surrounded by Dhaulagiri and Tibet from south and north. Upper Dolpo opened 1991 for trekking.

Trekking season for Dolpo region is generally from June to September. In Upper Dolpo trek, you start from Nepalgunj fly to Jumla and trekking up to Shey –Gompa then trekking through Saldang –La pass reach to Jomsom via Tingjagaon. The upper Dolpo is restricted area as well where you need to have any special permits to go. Not so many tourists have been in this area.

Upper Dolpo area is physically hard because of the high passes. But the trekking around the Dolpo region is an unforgettable journey in every visitor's life

Day 02 - Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley.
Day 03 - Fly to Nepalgunj.
Day 04 - Fly to Jumla 2370m.
Day 05 - Trek to Gothi Chaur.
Day 06 - Trek to Naphukana 3080m.
Day 07 - Trek to Chaurikot 3150m.
Day 08 - Trek to Bheri river side.
Day 09 - Trek to Garpung Khola.
Day 10 - Trek to Kagmara Base Camp 4000m.
Day 11 - Cross Kagmara-La(5115m) and trek to Pungmo Gaon.
Day 12 - Trek to Phoksundo Lake.
