Lantang and Helambu region lies on straight north from Kathmandu which offers snow-covered peaks, a mild climate, and friendly hospitable inhabitants makes it the ideal trek almost year round. The 1710 Sq. km Langtang National Park hosts a variety of natural splendors, from lush valleys alive with langur monkeys to the towering fir and rhododendron forests bursting with spring colour. The Langtang Lirung(7246m) to the north, Gang Chhenpo (6388m) to the south and Dorje Lhakpa (6975m) to the east dominates the beautiful Langtang valley.
Helambu, the mid-elevation region to the Park's south, is a study centre of Tibetan Buddhism. Sherpa and Tamang people maintain a rich cultural heritage, evident in ornately carved wooden windows, lively dance festivals, and skilled weaving traditions.
Lantang and Helambu trek combines the remote and spectacular valley of Langtang with high mountain lakes at Gosaikunda(4380m)and the beautiful Helambu valley. On this trip we trek up to Kyanjing gompa and backtracking through Syabru and Sing Gompa to high plateau, where the sacred lake Gosaikunda is located. After crossing the Lauribina Pass (4610m), continue trek down to Helambu valley. From here we trek down to ending place where we find a transport back to Kathmandu.
