Tsum Valley is a sacred, virgin Himalayan pilgrimage valley situated north east of Nepal, Gorkha district. Tsum comes from the Tibetan word "Tsombo" which means Vivid and traditionally Tsum valley culturally distinct geographical area called "Tsum Tso Chucksums" which means thirteen provinces ruled as a single territory. Tsum valley occupies an areas of about 1663 square kilometers and situated at an altitude arise from 1905m to 5093m at Ngula Dhojyang Pass on the Tibetan border.
Against the majestic backdrop of the Ganesh Himal, Sringi Himal and Boudha Himal ranges, this serene Himalayan valley is rich in ancient art, culture, and religion. The local people are mostly of Tibetan origin and seek a unique dialect. Trails are strewn with artistic chortens and lined with mani walls made of thousands of stone slabs carved with deities and prayers.
The Tsum valley has a long history of Buddhism. The Buddhist saint Milarepa is believed to have meditated in the caves of three mountains. The valley is especially untouched to modern flavor. Due to immaculate state and remoteness, the ancient relics are still seen.
The world has gone round for the new wilderness and seeks for new achievement but Tsum hidden valley had been detached from all plumpness for centuries. As a result, the unique culture of this valley has remained intact.
The Tsum valley trek begins from Arughat in Gorkha district which is easy accessible from Kathmandu. Generally there are three itineraries for trekking for this region. Hence, we have given here the best and more adventurous itinerary.
