Mt.Kailash claimed to be the apex of the Hindu religious axis is also one of the highest mountain in Tibet at 6714 meters, and Lake Manasarover at 4550 meters is said to be the highest fresh water lake in the world. Certainly a difficult region to reach due to the variable and extreme weather conditions.Only during the last few years have lots of ordinary and not so ordinary travelers, been able to experience this region. Road conditions are difficult much of the time and we have to make many preparations to ensure that we have a reasonable chance of reaching Kailas.
Helicopter tours of Kailash for those who are short of time or cannot take the rigours of a grueling high altitude road journey. The tour uses fixed wing aircraft for the flight from Kathmandu to Nepalganj and from there to Simikot. From Simikot a helicopter flies to Hilsa. Deluxe landcruisers are then used to reach lake Manasarovar.We are operating this helicopter trip in fixed departure dates and private group(minimum 4 pax is recommended).
