Home News British pilots won the National open Paragliding

 

British paraglider Jami Messenger won the Open Class Championship of 10th National Open Paragliding Championship organised by the Western Regional Chapter of Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) in Pokhara.

Messenger edged compatriot Adam Hill and New Zealander Matt Senior to win the title. In the women category, Isabella Reibling of German finished first.

In the competition among the DHV-1-2 graded pilots, Graham Sanuders Griffit of the United Kingdom finished first. Ms Isabella Reibling of German bagged the second and John Chick of the United Kingdom bagged third position.

Similarly, Phil Gefferies of the United Kingdom won event of DHV-1 graded pilots. Sushil Gurung and Khum Bahadur Gurung of Nepal finished runners up in the event.

The title of best spot landing was bagged by Binod Bomjan of Nepal.

The annual event, organised from February 19-21 this year, is organised to promote Pokhara as an exciting venue for paragliding. ......
